Employer bulletin September 2025

On Tuesday 11 November at 10:00 am, the GMPF Employer Liaison Team in partnership with our in-house AVC provider Prudential, is hosting an online session with Prudential called ‘A guide to administering AVC contributions’.

This session is for all Payroll Teams who currently send LGPS AVC contributions to Prudential.

Prudential will be delivering some important messages regarding your monthly submissions, so please attend this session if you submit AVCs or invite a colleague to attend on your behalf.

Earlier this year we sent a survey to allow us to understand how we can best support payroll providers and employers who outsource pension functions to third parties.

Last week we told you that our 2025 Funding Strategy Statement is now open for consultation.

We continue to run employer training workshops on several topics. These sessions may be helpful if you are new or want to refresh your knowledge on subjects such as ill health, pensionable pay, retirements, leavers, topping up benefits, and employer discretions.

The Local Government Association (LGA) has published Bulletin 267, which contains several LGPS updates.
