As part of the statutory, triennial valuation process, GMPF is required to produce a document called the Funding Strategy Statement (commonly referred to as the FSS).

The FSS is a document that summarises GMPF’s approach to funding pension liabilities whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements on solvency and long term cost efficiency.

In preparing the FSS, GMPF is required to consult with relevant parties.

Below is the link to the draft version of the 2025 FSS, which is now open for consultation to all GMPF’s employers.

We are now inviting you to read the FSS and provide any comments or queries within the next six weeks to: employersupport@gmpf.org.uk 

Please ensure that any responses have been submitted no later than 7 November 2025.

Once the consultation has been completed, and all responses have been considered, the FSS will be finalised and published, coming into effect from 1 April 2026.
